Cell-sorting Guide

The makeup of "whole blood" infographic. Whole blood contains red blood cells (RBCs), white blood cells (WBCs), platelets, and plasma. Plasma contains protein and additional nutrients. The WBCs include both peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and polymorphonuclear cells (PMNCs). Lymphocytes (T cells, B cells, NK cells), monocytes, and macrophages make up the PBMCs, while neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, and mast cells make up PMNCs.
